Line Of Duty K9s
We are dedicated to giving back to those who give so much by funding service dogs for Veterans. Line Of Duty K9s’s goal is to improve the mental health and well-being of individuals serving our community. Line Of Duty K9s will assist with the fundraising, for the training, successful placement and support of service animals to show gratitude and support to those individuals who endure countless sacrifices to protect our community.
What is a Service Dog?
Line Of Duty K9s purchases service dogs trained to assist people with PTSD (post traumatic stress syndrome). Our dogs are trained for more than two years in order to perform specific tasks and provide the handler with an animal that meets service dog criteria as set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This is what sets Line Of Duty K9s dogs apart:
- Purpose: Our service dogs are trained to performs specific tasks that mitigate the handler's disability, such as reminding them to take medication, providing deep pressure therapy during anxiety attacks, or searching a room for safety. The dogs can interrupt nightmares, support and quickly calm the handler down in public situations, provide space away from others, keep the handler focused on the present, relieve tension and stress, among other tasks.
- Training: The service dogs Line Of Duty K9s provide, undergo months of extensive training to perform specific tasks that help their handler with PTSD-related challenges.
- Legal Access: - Our dogs are allowed to accompany their handler in all public spaces where their handler has access, according to the ADA.
- Public Recognition: - Service dogs from Line Of Duty K9s are legally recognized as a working service animal, not a pet, and should be treated as such in public and private spaces.
- Certification/Registration: - Certification or registration is not required as long as the dog is trained to perform tasks directly associated with the hander's disability.
Upcoming Fundraisers
Support Line Of Duty K9s by participating, volunteering or sponsoring one of our upcoming fundraisers. It cost $25,000 to acquire and train a service dog. Help us on our way to purchasing another service dog.

Help us connect more local military veterans and first responders with the service animals they desperately need. Your support goes towards the purchase and training of a certified service animal. We have partnerships with area service dog trainers and facilities to coordinate the purchase and training of our service animals.
